TSUNAMI RELIEF WORK

TAMIL NADU, ANDAMAN and SRI LANKA
A Brief Report as of 29.12.2004
In the wake of the devastating Tsunami in the Indian
ocean, leaving a trail of wide spread devastation on an
unprecedented scale and leaving thousands of people dead. The
Ramakrishna Mission started massive relief operations from the
first day itself through its centres at Chennai and Chengalpattu
in Tamil Nadu & Port Blair in India and Batticaloa in Sri Lanka.

Efforts are being made to extend the
relief operations in the above areas. In addition, steps are being
taken by Chennai centre to extend the relief work to Cuddalore,
which is one of the worst affected places.

The Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Center of
New York is not collecting funds to forward, but donors are
requested to send money directly to the headquarters of the
Ramakrishna Mission at Belur Math, India. The best and quickest
way to send money is by MONEY ORDER or BANK DRAFT,
made out in the name of RAMAKRISHNA MISSION, mentioning
that the money is to be used for the Ramakrishna Mission
Tsunami Relief. Mailing address and contact information
