We trust that you and your loved ones are well. Our Center joins the many institutions and organizations of New York City in requiring full Covid vaccinations for everyone who attends the services and classes.
Durga Puja will be observed with a special service on Sunday, October 17, 2021. However, this year there will not be an evening program for meditation with flower offerings for the occasion.
Kindly observe the following rules for the health and safety of everyone:
1. Proof of full vaccination is required:show your vaccination card, photograph of the card,Key to NYC Pass, NYS Excelsior Pass,or other official proof at the door
2. Please wear a mask
3. Donations and offerings may be made using the donation box at the main door
4. When greeting or offering salutions, please maintain a reasonable distance and refrain from shaking hands or physical contact
The Center holds special services each year on the occasions of Sri Ramakrishna's Birthday, Holy Mother's Birthday, Swami Vivekananda's Birthday, Buddha's Birthday, Sri Sri Durga Puja, Christmas, Good Friday, and Easter. As part of these special services, the Choir of the Center performs traditional hymns and songs, both Western and Eastern. All the services and classes of the Center are free and open to the public.
Swami Yuktatmananda arranges special lectures and seminars at the Center for groups of students from colleges, universities, and other organizations who wish to visit the Center and learn more about its teachings. On special occasions, Swamis from other centers, spiritual leaders of different faiths, community leaders, and academicians are invited by Swami Yuktatmananda to speak at the Center.
